Extremely durable cable for extreme applications

This black, two-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² is a reliable solution for installations requiring high temperature and chemical resistance. Made of tinned copper and insulated with FEP-HELUFLON® fluoropolymer, it ensures safety and durability in harsh conditions. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 600 V and is designed to operate in a temperature range from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C).

Construction and properties

The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable stands out with its advanced construction, which guarantees its unique properties. Copper cores, available in tinned or silver-plated version, are made of twisted strand according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl.5 standards. Insulation made of FEP-HELUFLON® provides excellent resistance to chemicals, radiation and high temperatures. The outer jacket made of the same material additionally protects the cable against mechanical damage and environmental influences.

• Chemical resistance: Fluoropolymer insulation provides resistance to oils, gasoline, acids, bases and other aggressive chemicals.
• High flexibility: Twisted strand construction ensures easy installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.
• Safety: Materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium, and the cable is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).
• Minimal water absorption: Ensures reliable operation even in humid environments.

The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The minimum bending radius is 15 x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4 x cable diameter for stationary bending. Insulation resistance is minimum 2 GOhm/km.
