Power cable for frequency inverters
This specialized cable, designated TOPFLEX®-EMV-2YSLCY-J 4G35 mm², is designed for the efficient and safe power supply of motors connected to frequency inverters. This cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250 and is characterized by double shielding, which minimizes electromagnetic interference. It is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the installation needs.
Construction and properties
The cable is distinguished by its flexible construction, enabling easy installation even in difficult conditions. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures reliable operation in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from +5°C to +70°C during installation. The copper strands, stranded (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), are insulated with polyethylene (PE), which ensures high voltage strength and minimizes dielectric losses. In addition, the use of a special PVC mixture in the outer jacket guarantees excellent flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The cable has a yellow-green protective conductor.
Applications and compatibility
This cable finds wide application in the machinery, metallurgical industry, as well as in control, signaling and measurement installations. It works perfectly in conveyors and technological lines. Thanks to its EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) properties, it is ideal for powering devices sensitive to interference, such as SIMOVERT drives, pumps, fans, conveyor belts and air conditioning installations. It can be used in the automotive, food, environmental protection and packaging industries. It is important to remember to properly connect the screen on both sides of the cable to ensure full protection against interference – in accordance with EN 55011.
