This specialized PVC cable, designated TOPFLEX®-EMV-2YSLCY-J 4G10 mm², is designed for efficient and safe power supply to motors using frequency inverters. This cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to electromagnetic interference, making it an ideal solution for both professional installers and end users. The transparent jacket with color-coded conductors simplifies identification and installation.
Construction and application
This cable is a multi-core (4 cores) construction with a cross-section of 10 mm², made of stranded copper. The core insulation is made of PE, ensuring low dielectric loss and high voltage strength. Two screens – aluminum foil and copper braid – minimize the impact of electromagnetic interference on device operation. The outer PVC jacket guarantees resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors in dry, humid and wet environments (but not in the open air).
The cable finds wide application in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, control systems, signaling and measurement. It is suitable for SIMOVERT drives, pumps, ventilation, conveyor belts and air conditioning installations. It is particularly recommended for applications requiring high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), protecting devices from interference generated by frequency inverters.
