Control cable for dynamic applications

This flexible, shielded cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² is designed for demanding applications such as chain systems, robotics and moving machine parts. Its construction ensures reliable signal transmission in environments exposed to electromagnetic interference and frequent bending. The cable is particularly recommended for use in BUS systems and wherever high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are required.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees long life and reliable operation. It consists of six copper strands twisted in pairs, which minimizes interference. Each strand is insulated with PP material, and the whole is surrounded by a braided screen of tinned copper wires providing high shielding efficiency. The durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to oils, solvents, acids, alkalis and abrasion. In addition, the cable is UV resistant and does not contain silicone or cadmium.

• Flexibility: Thanks to the fine-wire construction of the strands (class 6 according to DIN VDE 0295), the cable is exceptionally flexible and easy to install even in tight spaces.
• Shielding: The braid of tinned copper wires effectively protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission.
• Chemical resistance: The PUR coating provides resistance to aggressive chemicals, allowing the cable to be used in harsh industrial conditions.
• Mechanical strength: The cable construction guarantees high resistance to mechanical damage, abrasion and tearing.
• Temperature range: The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (stationary operation) and from -30°C to +70°C (dynamic operation).
• Outer diameter: The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 9.8 mm.

Applications and compliance with standards

The S.P.T-C-PUR cable is an ideal solution for installations in chain systems, industrial robotics, construction machines and wherever high flexibility and resistance to external factors are required. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0812 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. To optimize electromagnetic compatibility, it is recommended to ensure contact of the copper braid with the clamps on both sides (e.g. cable glands).
