Shielded control cable for dynamic applications

This flexible 500V control cable, designated S.P.T-C-PUR, is designed for demanding applications such as robotics and moving machine parts. Its twisted pair and shielded construction ensures reliable signal transmission even in environments with high electromagnetic interference. The cable is particularly recommended for BUS systems and where there is high bending and movement frequency.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by high flexibility thanks to the use of fine-stranded copper conductors class 6, which translates to long service life and resistance to material fatigue. The core insulation is made of PP, and the outer jacket is made of polyurethane (PUR), providing resistance to oils, solvents, acids and alkalis. The braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference. Additionally, the cable complies with DIN VDE 0812 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive.

Technical specifications and application

The cable has 10 cores arranged in 5 twisted pairs, with a cross-section of 0.75 mm². The outer diameter is approximately 11.7 mm. The jacket color is gray (RAL 7001). The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 7.5 x cable diameter for cores with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² and 10 x cable diameter for cores with a cross-section of 0.5-1 mm². Thanks to these parameters, the cable is perfect for applications requiring frequent bending and movement, such as:
