Halogen-free shielded data transmission cable

This specialized DATAFLAMM®-C cable is designed for reliable data transmission in various applications. It features a halogen-free construction, which increases safety in the event of a fire, minimizing the emission of toxic gases. This cable is ideal for installation in public buildings, laboratories, warehouses, and anywhere requiring high fire and smoke resistance.

The DATAFLAMM®-C cable is used in signaling, measurement, control, telecommunications, and alarm systems. It is also suitable for office equipment and information processing systems. The screen made of tinned copper wires effectively reduces electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable and clean signal transmission.

### Construction and properties

The cable is constructed with copper stranded conductors with a cross-section of 0.34 mm², which provide flexibility and ease of installation. The conductors are insulated with polyethylene (PE) and colored according to DIN 47100 for easy identification. Twisted pair conductors are additionally wrapped with a polyester film (PETP) and shielded with a braid of copper wires, providing high resistance to interference. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of PVC, which meets stringent fire safety standards.

* **Radiation resistance:** up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).

* **Temperature range:** flexible from +5°C to +70°C, stationary from -40°C to +70°C – allows use in a wide range of environmental conditions.

* **Operating voltage:** designed for low-voltage applications (up to 500V).

* **Shielding:** braid of copper wires provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference.

* **Minimum bending radius:** approx. 7.5 x cable diameter – facilitates installation even in tight spaces.

### Technical parameters and application

The DATAFLAMM®-C cable with an outer diameter of approximately 5.5 mm is available in a 4-core version. Thanks to its construction and properties, it is perfect as a connecting cable in telecommunications, alarm systems, and office equipment. The use of a screen ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and the recommended two-sided contact of the braid with the terminals further improves shielding efficiency. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.
