Halogen-free data cable, shielded DATAFLAMM®-C 4x0.5 mm² grey, color-coded wires according to DIN 47100 52413
Halogen-free data transmission cable – safety and reliability. This shielded DATAFLAMM®-C cable, with a cross-section of 4x0.5 mm², is designed for reliable data transmission in a wide range of applications. This cable combines safety features, such as the absence of toxic gas emissions in the event of a fire, with high signal quality thanks to its shielding. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for a safe and efficient cable for signaling, alarm or telecommunication systems.
Construction and application
The DATAFLAMM®-C cable is particularly recommended for installation in public buildings, laboratories, warehouses and anywhere halogen-free properties are required. It is suitable for telecommunication systems, information processing, and as a connecting cable in measurement and control systems. It can be laid both on the surface and under plaster, in dry, wet and humid rooms, and directly in masonry and concrete. Thanks to the copper braid screen, it minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), guaranteeing a stable signal transmission.
Key features and benefits
- Halogen-free: Ensures the safety of people and equipment in the event of a fire by not emitting toxic gases – complies with VDE 0482-754-1, DIN EN 60754-1 and IEC 60754-1 standards.
- Shielding: A braid of tinned copper wires effectively reduces electromagnetic interference (EMC), which translates to high signal quality and reliable data transmission. For optimal EMC, it is recommended to ensure contact of the braid with cable terminals on both sides.
- Flexibility and durability: Stranded copper conductors (class 5) provide flexibility during installation and resistance to mechanical damage.
- Wide operating temperature range: The cable retains its properties in the temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (during installation from +5°C to +70°C), allowing its use in various environmental conditions.
- Core identification: Colored cores according to DIN 47100 facilitate identification and connection of the wires.
- Durable insulation: Core insulation made of special polyethylene (PE) provides excellent dielectric properties and minimizes inter-core capacitance.
- Metered: Supplied in meter lengths for ease of use and waste reduction.
- Operating voltage: The cable is designed to operate at 500V (for cross-sections ≥ 0.25 mm²).
Additional information: the outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.9 mm. The cable construction includes wrapping the cores with a polyester film (PETP) for additional protection against interference and an outer HM2 coating compliant with DIN VDE 0207 part 24, providing resistance to external factors.
