PUR cable for cable carriers MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR 18G1,5 mm² grey, black numbered cores acc. to DIN VDE 0293-334 acc. to DIN VDE 0293-334 22610
Robust control cable for harsh environments
This specialized PUR cable, designated MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR 18G1.5 mm², is a reliable solution for transmitting power and signals in demanding industrial environments. The cable is designed to operate in dynamic conditions, such as moving parts of machines, robots or chain systems. Its construction provides high flexibility and resistance to mechanical, chemical and extreme temperatures.
Construction and properties
The cable consists of 18 copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², insulated with a material other than standard PVC – which translates to better dielectric properties and abrasion resistance. The conductors are black, numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334, which facilitates identification and connection. The whole is surrounded by a braided shield, minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMC) and ensuring stable signal transmission. The durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) protects the cable from external factors such as oils, greases, acids and alkalis. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain halogens or silicone.
Applications and benefits
The MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR cable is perfect for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to mechanical stress. It is ideal for:
- Machine industry: Powering and controlling moving machine elements.
- Robotics: Transmitting control and power signals in industrial robots.
- Chain systems: Operation in continuous bending movement without loss of properties.
- Applications exposed to electromagnetic interference: Ensuring stable signal transmission in an industrial environment.
- Outdoor applications: Resistance to weather conditions and UV radiation allows the cable to be used outdoors as well.
Thanks to its construction, the cable is characterized by high durability and reliability, which translates to minimizing downtime and reducing operating costs. The permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -30°C to +80°C during installation, allowing it to be used in a wide range of environmental conditions. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for fixed laying. The cable passed the H bending test for approx. 10 million bending cycles, confirming its mechanical strength.
