Single-core rubber cable, short-circuit resistant up to 1 kV NSGAFÖU 1x70 mm² black 38510
Robust rubber cable for applications requiring high resistance
This single-core NSGAFÖU rubber cable is a solid solution for installations exposed to harsh conditions, particularly those requiring protection against short circuits. The cable is designed for reliability and safety, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users.
The cable is characterized by a conductor cross-section of 70 mm², allowing for the transmission of significant currents. It is made of multi-strand copper conductor, providing flexibility and ease of installation. EPR insulation and a polychloroprene (CR) coating guarantee high mechanical, chemical and thermal resistance. This ensures that the cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C for stationary operation and from -25°C to +80°C for flexible operation. The maximum permissible operating temperature is +90°C.
Application and properties
The NSGAFÖU cable is designed for the specific requirements of installations in rail vehicles, buses, trolleybuses and low-voltage (LV) switchgear. Its exceptional short-circuit resistance, confirmed by DIN VDE 0250-602 and DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2 standards, ensures effective protection of installations and equipment. Additionally, the cable is oil-resistant (DIN VDE 0473-811-404 / DIN EN 60811-404) and flame-retardant.
- Short-circuit protection: The special cable design provides high resistance to damage caused by short circuits in the power supply system.
- Wide temperature range: The ability to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and -25°C to +80°C (flexible) makes the cable suitable for a variety of applications.
- Chemical and mechanical resistance: The polychloroprene (CR) coating protects the cable from external factors such as oils and greases.
- Flexibility: The multi-strand copper conductor facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.
- Safety: The cable meets standards regarding reaction to fire (class Eca according to EN 13501-6), which increases safety of use.
- Rated voltage: Designed to operate at a voltage of U0/U 1800/3000 V, and the maximum permissible AC voltage is 3600V for a three-phase conductor/conductor system.
The NSGAFÖU cable is an investment in the reliability and safety of your electrical installation. It is recommended to lay in dry rooms/devices for optimal performance and durability. The 6 kV version is available on request.
