Single-core rubber cable, short-circuit resistant up to 1 kV NSGAFÖU 1x2.5 mm² black 38502
Heavy-duty rubber cable for special applications
This single-core NSGAFÖU rubber cable is a robust solution for demanding installations where resistance to mechanical damage and short circuits is crucial. The cable is designed for applications exposed to intensive use, such as rail vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, or low-voltage switchgear. Its construction and materials ensure reliable operation in harsh conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-strand copper conductor, covered with EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) insulation and a polychloroprene (CR) coating. This combination of materials guarantees flexibility, abrasion resistance, oil resistance, and UV resistance (in the black version). The cable meets DIN VDE 0250-602 standard and is available in black (RAL 9005) or orange (RAL 2000). It ensures safe operation in temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and -25°C to +80°C (flexible), with a maximum permissible operating temperature of +90°C.
Application and safety
The NSGAFÖU cable stands out for its exceptional resistance to short circuits when the power supply system is grounded. This provides effective protection against failures in installations exposed to such situations. It is particularly recommended for applications where high reliability and safety are required. The minimum bending radius is 6x the cable diameter for stationary installation and 10x the diameter for flexible installation. Remember to lay the cable in dry rooms/devices. The fire reaction class is Eca, providing basic fire protection.
