This single-core NSGAFÖU rubber cable, with a cross-section of 10 mm², is designed for demanding applications where resistance to short circuits and harsh working conditions is crucial. This cable is used in installations exposed to mechanical damage, as well as in rail vehicles, buses and trolleybuses. Its construction and materials ensure reliable operation even in the event of a failure.

Construction and properties

The NSGAFÖU cable is distinguished by a solid construction, based on a tinned copper multi-wire conductor class 5 (DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228). The conductor is insulated with EPR type 3G13 material (DIN VDE 0207 part 20), and the whole is surrounded by a durable polychloroprene (CR) coating type 5GM3 (DIN VDE 0207 part 21). This combination of materials guarantees flexibility and resistance to abrasion and the action of oils. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage U0/U of 1800/3000 V and a maximum permissible operating voltage of up to 3600 V in a three-phase system.
