The cable is made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for both core insulation and the outer sheath. The multi-strand flexible copper cores (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295 / IEC 60228) provide flexibility and resistance to repeated bending. The core insulation color – black with white numerals – facilitates identification of individual conductors in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-334. This cable is used in intrinsically safe installations (type -i-) in potentially explosive areas, where high resistance to mechanical damage and weather conditions is required. It is intended for flexible applications where moderate mechanical stress occurs with free movement, but is not intended for laying in the ground.
