Submersible pump cable – reliability and safety in contact with water

This blue HELUPOWER® AQUATIC-750-BLUE cable with a cross-section of 2x2.5 mm² is a specialized solution for powering submersible pumps, particularly those used for pumping drinking water. Designed with demanding operating conditions in mind, it ensures safe and efficient operation of the installation. The cable is manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0250/DIN VDE 0285-525-1/DIN EN 50525-1 standards, which guarantees its high quality and reliability.

Construction and application

A key element is the use of un-tinned, multi-wire copper conductors, class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228), which provides flexibility and resistance to repeated bending. The insulation of the conductors is made of PVC, and the outer jacket of a crosslinked halogen-free plastic (RAL 5015 – blue) guarantees durability and safety of use. This cable finds wide application not only in submersible pumps, but also as a connection cable in food processing plants, fish ponds and aquariums. The possibility of installation in water at a depth of up to 600 meters makes it an ideal choice for demanding applications.

Certificates and compliance with standards

The safety of use is confirmed by the Hygienic Certificate of the National Institute of Public Health – State Institute of Hygiene (NIZP-PZH), which allows this cable to come into contact with water intended for human consumption (certificate number B.BK.60110.0936.2022 NIZP PZH - PIB valid until 07.09.2025). It also has a DVGW Standard W 270 certificate and meets the requirements of WRAS and DM 174. The cable is resistant to chlorine (up to 0.6 mg/l) and salt water (up to 6%), which increases its durability in specific environmental conditions.
