High-temperature cable for demanding applications

This flexible HELUTHERM® 120 cable, made of special PVC, is designed to operate at elevated temperatures. It is an ideal solution where standard cables fail – in machines, devices and engines operating in a hot environment, such as paint shops or dryers. This cable is suitable for both internal installations (dry, damp and wet rooms) and outdoor use.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring reliability and long-term operation. It is made of stranded copper conductor (class 5 – flexible multi-wire), insulated with special PVC TI3. The conductors are color-coded according to DIN VDE 0293-308 (colored up to 5 conductors, black with white numbering above 6), and the protective conductor (yellow-green) is located on the outside (from 3 conductors). The whole is surrounded by an outer jacket made of temperature-resistant PVC TM3 in black color (RAL 9005).

• Temperature resistance: The cable maintains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -30°C to +105°C during stationary operation and from -5°C to +105°C during installation (short-term up to +120°C).
• Rated voltage: Suitable for operation at 500 V.
• Flexibility: The multi-wire conductor construction provides good flexibility, making it easier to install and route cables in tight spaces.
• Safety: The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 standard for self-extinguishing and flame-retardant materials.
• Compliance with standards: The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11 / DIN EN 50525-2-11.
