Highly temperature-resistant PVC cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This flexible HELUTHERM® 120 cable, made of high-quality PVC, is designed to operate at elevated temperatures. It is an ideal solution for use in machines, equipment and engines where standard cables fail. It will work in paint shops, drying rooms and other demanding environments. The cable is intended for installation in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction. It has five cores with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², made of copper stranded according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards. The cores are insulated with special PVC TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3), and their colors correspond to DIN VDE 0293-308 – up to five cores are colored, above six black with white numbering. The yellow-green protective core is located on the outside (from three cores). The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of high-temperature resistant PVC TM3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1 / DIN EN 50363-4-1) in black color (RAL 9005). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.9 mm.
Application and benefits
- Temperature resistance: The cable retains its properties in the temperature range from -30°C to +105°C (short-term up to +120°C), making it ideal for industrial applications and in heat-generating devices.
- Flexibility: The construction with multi-wire cores provides good flexibility, making it easier to install and route cables in tight spaces.
- Safety: The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11 / DIN EN 50525-2-11 and IEC 60227/56 and IEC 60227/57 standards, guaranteeing safe operation. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
- Versatility: Suitable for use in both fixed and flexible installations.
- Core identification: Colored core identification makes it easier to connect cables correctly and minimizes the risk of errors during assembly according to DIN VDE 0293-308
- Rated voltage: The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of up to 500V.
The HELUTHERM® 120 cable is a reliable solution for professionals and end-users looking for reliable conduction in demanding temperature conditions.
