Flexible control cable for demanding applications

This black, five-core flexible cable JZ-500 with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² is a reliable solution for connections in control, signaling and measurement installations. The cable is designed to operate in harsh conditions, both indoors and outdoors – as long as it is not directly exposed to soil or water. It is suitable for use in mechanical engineering, especially for powering production lines and conveyor belts.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction based on twisted copper cores, which ensures high flexibility and resistance to repeated bending. The cores are insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), and the entire cable is surrounded by an outer sheath of PVC TM2 (RAL 9005). Black cores are clearly numbered with white printing for easy identification during installation. In addition, the cable has a yellow-green protective core (in configurations above 3 cores) for increased safety. The material used in production does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

• Chemical resistance and oil resistance: The cable is resistant to many oils and chemicals, making it an ideal choice for industrial environments.
• UV resistance: The materials used in production are resistant to ultraviolet radiation, allowing the cable to be used outdoors (with reservations regarding direct contact with soil and water).
• Safety: The PVC sheath is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1.
• Wide temperature range: The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -15°C to +80°C during flexible operation.

Technical parameters and application

The JZ-500 black 5G0.75 cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500V. Its outer diameter is approximately 7.5 mm. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has a core class of 5 (multi-strand flexible). The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 7.5 x cable diameter, and for stationary operation – 4 x cable diameter. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MΩ x km. The cable complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
