(LIY-CY) 10x1 cable is a flexible solution for data transmission, designed for applications requiring a minimal outer diameter. It is ideal for industrial environments such as tool and machine production, as well as in the electronics, computer and measurement sectors. The shielded construction ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), which is crucial in sensitive installations.

Construction and properties

This cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring reliability and durability. Made of multi-strand copper conductors class 5, insulated with TI2 PVC, it offers flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The cores are twisted in layers with a polyester foil as a central wrap, and additionally secured with a copper braid for shielding. The outer jacket made of TM2 PVC in grey color (RAL 7001) provides protection against external factors. The cable is metered, which facilitates precise adaptation to the needs of the installation.

The materials used are resistant to oils and chemicals, which expands the range of possible applications. Additionally, the cable meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding flame retardancy.

Operating parameters and installation

The (LIY-CY) 10x1 cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -5°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -30°C to +80°C (stationary). The rated voltage is 300/300V. The minimum bending radius during flexible installation is 10x the cable diameter, and in the case of fixed installation – 5x the cable diameter. The core cross-section is 1 mm², and its coupling resistance is a maximum of 250 Ohm/km. It is important to remember that the cable is not intended for high-current installations.

To optimize EMC properties, it is recommended to use EMC cable glands providing a two-sided contact of the copper braid with the clamps.
