Control cable – flexibility and protection in one
The LIY-CY 3x0.75 control cable is a reliable solution for connections inside premises where flexibility and resistance to interference are required. The construction with copper cores, PVC insulation and a copper braided screen ensures stable signal transmission and protection against external electromagnetic fields. This cable is particularly recommended for industrial applications, automation, and electronic and computer devices.
### Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a flexible construction with multi-strand copper cores of class 5, which facilitates installation and routing even in tight spaces. PVC insulation provides good resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The screen in the form of a copper wire braid minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in precise control and measurement systems. Additionally, the cable is oil-resistant, which increases its durability in harsh working conditions.
**Key features:**
- Flexibility: Class 5 multi-strand cores facilitate installation and routing.
- Shielding: Copper braid protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC).
- Resistance: PVC insulation provides resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage.
- Oil resistance: Increases durability in harsh industrial conditions.
- Wide application: Ideal for automation, electronics, machinery and precision devices.
- Rated voltage: 300/300V – standard voltage for control installations.
- Operating temperature: Flexible from -5°C to +70°C, stationary from -30°C to +80°C – wide temperature range.
### Applications and installation
The LIY-CY 3x0.75 cable is used in dry and damp indoor environments, but not outdoors. It is ideal for flexible connections with medium mechanical stress where tensile stress does not occur. Thanks to its small outer diameter (5.6 mm), it is perfect for applications requiring compact solutions. The minimum bending radius is 5x the cable diameter for fixed laying and 10x the diameter for flexible laying. To optimize EMC protection, it is recommended to use EMC cable glands providing a circumferential contact of the braid with the terminals.
