Universal shielded control cable LiY-CY

LiY-CY 4x0.5 cable is a flexible solution for transmitting control signals and data in electrical installations. It is characterized by shielding, which minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in industrial environments and applications sensitive to interference. The construction with copper cores, PVC insulation and a shielding braid ensures reliable and durable connections. This cable is used wherever high-quality data transmission and resistance to external factors are required.

Construction and properties

This cable has been designed with flexibility and reliability in mind. It consists of four copper cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², each insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). These cores are twisted in layers, which increases resistance to mechanical damage. The whole is surrounded by a polyester foil and a braid of copper wires, creating effective shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer coating made of PVC provides additional protection against moisture and chemicals. The cable has a gray coating (RAL 7001), which makes it easier to identify in the installation.

Technical parameters and applications

The LiY-CY 4x0.5 cable is characterized by a small outer diameter (approx. 5.5 mm) with a large number of cores (4) at the same time. This makes it ideal for applications requiring compact solutions. The minimum bending radius during installation is 27.5 mm for fixed installations and 55 mm for movable installations, which makes installation easier even in hard-to-reach places. This cable complies with DIN VDE 0812 standards and has a CE certificate confirming its compliance with European directives LVD 2014/35/EU. The weight of the cable is approximately 48 kg/km, which allows you to estimate the required cable length for a given project.
