The (LIY-CY) cable is a flexible solution for transmitting energy and data in places where resistance to bending and medium mechanical loads is required. It is perfect for internal installations, both in dry and humid environments, although it should not be laid outdoors. Its compact size makes it an ideal choice for applications in mechanical engineering, tool manufacturing, electronics, as well as measuring and control devices.

This cable is characterized by shielding, which ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and minimizes interference. The construction with copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and PVC insulation guarantees reliable operation in the temperature range from -5°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -30°C to +80°C (stationary). The rated voltage is 300/300V.

Construction features and application

The LIY-CY cable consists of five flexible, stranded copper conductors of class 5, which ensures high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during frequent bending. The conductors are insulated with PVC and marked with colors according to DIN 47100, which facilitates identification. Twisted layers of conductors are surrounded by a polyester foil and a screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires. The whole is covered with an outer coating of PVC in gray (RAL 7001).

User parameters and safety

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0812 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the LVD 2014/35/EU directive. It is resistant to oils and some chemicals. The minimum bending radius for mobile installations is 83 mm, and for stationary installations 41.5 mm. The weight of the cable is approximately 88.9 kg/km. The cable is not intended for high-voltage installations or for use outdoors. Additionally, it does not have self-extinguishing or halogen-free properties according to relevant IEC standards.
