Universal control cable for various applications

The cable (LIY-CY) 7x1 RAL 7001 is a flexible solution for data and power transmission, designed for medium mechanically loaded installations. It will work both in dry and humid rooms (but not outdoors), where the minimum outer diameter is crucial. This makes it ideal for use in tool manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electronics, as well as in the computer and measurement sectors. Its construction allows for use in miniature connectors.

Construction and properties ensuring reliability

The cable is characterized by a solid construction. Made of seven copper cores with a cross-section of 1 mm², insulated with PVC, it provides good conductivity and flexibility. The cores are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch, and the whole is surrounded by a polyester foil and a screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires – which ensures effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer PVC coating (color RAL 7001 – gray) protects the cable from mechanical damage and external factors. The cable is metered, which makes it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.

Key parameters and compliance with standards

The cable meets the DIN VDE 0812 standard and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with LVD 2014/35/EU. Its rated voltage is 300 V, and the operating temperature in flexible operation is from -5°C to +80°C, and in fixed installations from -40°C to +80°C. The minimum bending radius for mobile installations is 79 mm, and for fixed installations 39.5 mm. The cable is flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2. However, it is important to note that it is not intended for high-current installations.
