Lifting cable NSHTOU – reliability in harsh conditions

This 40-core NSHTOU 2.5mm² cable is a robust solution for demanding applications where flexibility and resistance to mechanical stress are key. Designed for use with drum systems, it performs perfectly in industrial, construction, and mining environments. Its construction guarantees long-lasting and safe operation even in extreme conditions.

Construction and properties

The NSHTOU cable stands out with its advanced construction, which provides it with exceptional parameters. Stranded copper conductors, insulated with GI1 rubber, are twisted around a core and secured with a textile braid. The whole is covered with a durable neoprene outer jacket (5GM2), providing resistance to abrasion, oils, acids, UV radiation, and low temperatures. This ensures that the cable retains its properties even during frequent winding and unwinding from a drum – the permissible speed is as high as 120 m/min.

Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (G) for increased safety. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250 part 814 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The cable has passed tests regarding fire behavior (IEC 60332-1-2) and oil resistance (DIN VDE 0473-811-404 / DIN EN 60811-404).
