This flexible NSHTOU 5G10 cable, designed for operation in demanding conditions, will find application wherever high mechanical and weather resistance is required. Ideal for powering lifting equipment, cranes, conveyors, as well as in construction and mines. The cable construction is designed for frequent winding and unwinding from a drum, ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Construction and properties for professionals

The NSHTOU cable is distinguished by its solid construction. Copper conductors, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards, are insulated with GI1 rubber. A textile braid reinforces the cable and protects against twisting. A durable neoprene (5GM2) outer jacket provides resistance to weathering, oils, acids, gasoline and UV radiation. This ensures that the cable retains its properties even in extreme working conditions – from -40°C to +70°C. The nominal voltage Uo/U is 0.6/1 kV.

• Mechanical strength: Cable designed for continuous movement – repeated winding and unwinding from a drum. Maximum winding speed is 120 m/min.
• Chemical resistance: The neoprene outer jacket provides resistance to oils, acids, gasoline and other chemicals.
• Flexibility at low temperatures: Neoprene guarantees maintaining flexibility even at low temperatures down to -35°C (flexible) or -40°C (stationary).
• Safety: The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has passed tests regarding behavior during fire (IEC 60332-1-2).
• Radiation resistance: Resistant to radiation up to 20 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 20 Mrad).
