Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions

This brown HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y single-core wire with a cross-section of 0.14 mm² is a specialized solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments. Made of silver-plated copper, it provides excellent conductivity and long-term reliability. This wire is used both in industrial installations and in the construction of switchgear cabinets, where standard solutions fail.

Construction and properties – the key to versatile application

The wire is characterized by FEP (HELUFLON®) fluoropolymer insulation, which ensures exceptional resistance to external factors. The core made of silver-plated copper guarantees high conductivity and stable connections even at elevated temperatures – up to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). The flexible construction with a multi-strand class 5 core facilitates installation and routing of wires in tight spaces. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and compliance with standards

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire is designed for a wide range of applications: installations in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, kitchen and measuring devices. It is also perfect in the chemical industry and wherever resistance to extreme temperatures and aggressive chemicals is required. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 1.2 mm.
