Installation cable for wide application

The YDY 2x1.0 750V cable is a universal solution for transmitting electrical energy in building installations. It is suitable for installations on plaster, under plaster, and in rooms with increased humidity, but dry. Its construction with copper conductors of class 1 ensures reliable and durable connections. This cable is particularly recommended for general applications where good insulation and resistance to environmental conditions are required.

Construction and properties

The YDY cable is characterized by a round shape and a white color of the outer jacket and insulation. Made of copper, it has two conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm², which allows for safe transmission of electrical energy at a rated voltage of up to 750V (450V for U0). Insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides effective protection against short circuits and mechanical damage. Thanks to its resistance to low temperatures, the cable remains flexible even in difficult conditions. The minimum bending radius of 81.6 mm makes installation and routing of cables in tight spaces easier.

User parameters and compliance with standards

The YDY 2x1.0 cable meets the requirements of EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 and has a fire resistance certificate in accordance with IEC 60332-1-2. Its conductor resistance is 18.1 Ohm/km, which ensures efficient transmission of electrical energy over short distances. The cable is designed to operate in an ambient temperature of -15°C to +50°C during installation and from -30°C to +50°C after installation (without vibration), making it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications (not intended for underground installations). The cable weight is 69.334 kg/km and its approximate outer diameter is 6.8 mm.
