Construction and materials

The cable is made of copper-clad aluminum (CCA) – a combination of the advantages of copper and aluminum. The aluminum core coated with a layer of copper provides good electrical conductivity at a lower price than fully copper cables. The cable strands are solid-core, making them easier to process when making patch cords. The PVC jacket provides protection against mechanical damage and external factors. The fire resistance class is Fca, which increases safety.

Application and technical parameters

The cable is ideal for building 100 MHz Ethernet networks, supporting transmission speeds up to 100 Mb/s. It should be noted that the manufacturer recommends using it only for making patch cords with a maximum length of 10 meters. U/UTP construction (unshielded twisted pair) means no shielding, making it a good choice in environments with low levels of electromagnetic interference. The cable operates in a temperature range from -20°C to 70°C, allowing it to be used in various conditions. The outer diameter of the cable is 5.2 mm and the strand thickness is 0.5 mm (AWG 24). The HDPE insulation is 0.93 mm thick and the PVC jacket is 0.54 mm thick.
