Construction and materials

The cable is made in U/UTP standard, which means no shielding. The cable core is made of copper-clad aluminum (CCA), which is a compromise between the conductivity of copper and the cost of aluminum. This combination provides good performance while maintaining an attractive price. The wire insulation is made of PVC, and the cable construction is 4x2x24AWG – eight wires twisted into four pairs. The wire gauge is 0.5 mm, and the outer diameter of the entire cable is 5.2 mm. The stranded construction makes it easy to create patch cords up to 10 meters long.
