Rotating chimney cowl – chimney guard fi 150 mm

This rotating chimney guard is a practical solution for improving draft in ventilation and flue ducts. Made of high-quality stainless steel 1.4404, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance, even in harsh weather conditions. Its design allows for effective use of wind energy to assist the draft, especially in situations where natural convection is insufficient.

The chimney guard works by creating a vacuum, automatically facing the wind and protecting the chimney opening. This prevents backflow of flue gases or air and improves combustion efficiency. This is particularly important for wood-burning fireplaces, where adequate draft is crucial for safe and efficient operation.

Design and application

The guard type cowl is detachable, making it easy to assemble, disassemble and clean if necessary. Made of acid-resistant sheet metal with a thickness of 0.6 mm, it is characterized by high strength and temperature resistance up to 650°C. Plasma welding technology guarantees the tightness and durability of the connections. The cup-shaped connection of the cowl to the base ensures stability and easy installation.

The cowl can be used on both flue (oil, gas, wood) and ventilation chimneys. However, it should not be mounted on solid fuel chimneys such as coal, slack or eco-pea coal – due to the risk of soot accumulation and deterioration of the device's performance.
