Pressure reducer 6247 4 inch 6247.100.00

Pressure reducer with flange connections, DN100

The 6247‑type reducer is designed for continuous pressure regulation in industrial installations where maintaining a stable outlet pressure with variable flow is critical. It is suitable for water, compressed air and other neutral, non‑adhesive fluids – both gases and liquids.

The body is made of red brass Rg5, and the joining nut from brass CuZn40Pb2. The reduction insert contains a protective mesh of stainless steel 1.4305 with 0.6 mm diameter openings – it protects against contaminants and can be replaced without dismantling the whole device. This is a significant advantage during maintenance: simply close the isolation valves, remove the insert and flush it with cold water.

The reducer membrane is reinforced with polyamide fiber, and the sealing elements are made of elastomers resistant to ageing and high temperature. The adjustment nut is a glass‑fiber‑reinforced plastic, resistant to water and mechanical loads.

Outlet pressure is set with a 19 mm flat wrench – turning the screw clockwise (“+”) increases pressure, counter‑clockwise (“‑”) decreases it. Factory‑set to 4 bar. Before installation the system should be flushed, and the reducer mounted according to the arrow on the housing – avoiding pipe stress on the body.

For the installer: simple service and durability

The reduction insert can be replaced without removing the valve – no need to disconnect pipelines or disassemble the whole system. This saves time and minimizes the risk of leaks during maintenance. The filter mesh is easy to clean – just cold water. No special equipment or additional tools are required.

The body and internal parts are designed to withstand the effect of zinc leached from pipes – a typical issue in new copper or steel installations. The seals retain their elasticity even after prolonged operation at temperatures up to 30 °C.

Application and limitations

The reducer operates correctly only with a maximum inlet pressure of 16 bar. Outlet pressure can be set in the range of 1.5 to 6 bar – ideal for water distribution systems in industrial buildings, production halls or facilities with many consumption points.

Flow for DN100 is up to 56 m³/h at full opening (at an outlet pressure of 4 bar), and up to 78 m³/h at lower outlet pressure – this should be considered when selecting valve size.

Flange mounting according to prEN 1092-3 (standard 1092-3) allows easy connection to industrial pipelines without the need for threading. The DN100 version (6247.100.00) is the standard choice for large installations.
