Cat.5e U/UTP Cable – Reliability and Flexibility for Your Network
This Cat.5e U/UTP cable is a solid solution for building telecommunications networks. Made of copper, with a stranded construction, it provides not only high-quality data transmission but also great flexibility during installation. It is ideal for creating patch cords and connecting devices such as computers, routers, switches, and CCTV cameras.
Construction and Application
This cable features a stranded construction – each pair of wires consists of seven thin conductors. This construction significantly increases the cable's flexibility, making it easier to route in tight spaces and minimizing the risk of damage during installation. The unshielded U/UTP cable is designed for indoor installations, in ducts, pipes, and cable channels. It can be laid directly under plaster or in plaster with cement-based adhesive.
Category 5e guarantees data transmission speeds up to 1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet), allowing for comfortable work with modern applications and network devices. Compliance with the IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard enables powering devices such as VoIP phones, WiFi access points, and IP cameras directly through the network cable, eliminating the need for additional power supplies.
Safety and Parameters
The cable has a fire resistance class of Eca according to EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 and Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 (CPR). This means that it meets European fire safety standards and can be used in single-family homes and agricultural buildings. The PVC jacket provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage, although its emission properties should be considered in the event of a fire. The outer diameter of the cable is 4.8 mm and its weight is 35 kg/km. The maximum tensile strength is 80N and the bending radius is 4x the outer diameter of the cable.
