Cat.5e U/UTP cable for LAN and CCTV networks.

This telecommunications cable, made with stranded wire technology, is designed for building computer networks and video surveillance systems (CCTV). It is ideal for creating patch cords and connecting devices such as computers, routers, switches, and IP cameras. The construction with multi-strand wires provides flexibility, making installation easier even in tight spaces.

The cable is category 5e, guaranteeing data transmission speeds up to 1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet). It is 100% copper, which translates to high signal quality. Thanks to U/UTP shielding (Unshielded/Unshielded Twisted Pair), the cable is resistant to electromagnetic interference, although installation away from sources of interference is recommended.

Safety and application

The cable has a flammability class of Eca according to EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 and Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 (CPR). This means it can be used in single-family homes, agricultural buildings, and garages. The PVC coating provides durability and flexibility, but it is important to remember its properties – it emits smoke and contains halogens in the event of a fire.

The cable is compatible with the PoE+ standard (IEEE 802.3at), allowing you to power devices such as VoIP phones, WiFi access points, and CCTV cameras directly through the network cable at a distance of up to 100 meters.

Construction and parameters

The cable consists of four pairs of twisted multi-strand copper wires with a cross-section of 26/7 AWG. The outer diameter of the cable is 4.8 mm, and its gray coating makes it easier to identify in installations. The maximum length of the installation section (transmission path) should be 90 meters, with the length of patch cords connecting devices not exceeding 5 meters each. This will maintain the declared data transmission parameters. The cable is intended for indoor installations – in cable trays, pipes, and cable ducts, as well as directly under plaster or in cement-based adhesive plaster. It should not be used in humid environments or outdoors.
