The circuit breaker is based on characteristic D, which means that it reacts with a delay to short-term current surges. This makes it perfect for circuits with devices with high starting current, such as motors or transformers. The rated current of the device is 40A, and its short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 6kA at both 230V and 400V. The two-pole design allows for the protection of two phase conductors simultaneously. The circuit breaker has a protection degree of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides a wide range of applications.

The possibility of connecting auxiliary contacts (PS ETIMAT 10) and an overcurrent release (DA ETIMAT 10) allows for expanding the functionality of the device and adapting it to the specific needs of a given installation. In addition, the circuit breaker allows power supply from the top and bottom, as well as double connection of the insulating busbar – from the top and bottom. The contact position indicator and the possibility of sealing the lever in the "On" and "Off" positions increase the safety of use. The "ON/OFF" marking on the switching lever makes the device easy to operate.
