PEHD reducer (taper) 56x40 asymmetrical short, black color (HDPE drainage) 363.558.16.1
PEHD reduction (reducer) 56x40 – a reliable connection in the drainage system
This asymmetrical, short PEHD 56x40 reducer is a key element in drainage installations, allowing connection of pipes with different diameters. Made of durable high-density polyethylene (PE-80), it provides durability and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal solution for both professional installers and end users. Its black color facilitates identification within the system.
Durability and material resistance
The material used – polyethylene (PE) – is characterized by high chemical resistance, withstanding the action of most standard bases, acids and chemicals (approximately 95%). Additionally, the material is resistant to UV radiation, allowing its use both indoors and outdoors. The wall thickness of the connections, 3 mm, guarantees solidity and long-term operation. High tensile strength ensures connection stability even under mechanical loads.
Application and installation
The reducer is intended for Geberit HDPE drainage systems, but thanks to standard dimensions (external diameter of connection pipe 1: 56 mm, external diameter of connection pipe 2: 40 mm) it can also be used with other compatible systems. The eccentric model makes the reducer particularly useful in situations where a smooth transition between different pipe diameters is required without creating unnecessary turbulence. Installation is carried out by butt welding or using electrofusion fittings – these methods ensure a tight and durable connection. The raw surface condition of the connections prepares for the welding process. The working length of the connections is 35 mm and 37 mm, respectively.
