PEHD Reduction (Reducer) 56x50 – a no-compromise connection in the drainage system

This asymmetrical, short PEHD 56x50 reducer from Geberit is a key element in the construction of an efficient and durable drainage system. It allows changing the pipe diameter from 56 mm to 50 mm, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing the risk of blockages. Made of high-quality polyethylene (PE-80), it is characterized by exceptional resistance to mechanical damage, chemicals, and UV radiation.

Durability and material resistance

The material used – high-density polyethylene (PE-80) – guarantees not only a long service life but also resistance to corrosion and the action of aggressive chemical substances found in wastewater. Thanks to this, the reducer retains its properties for a long time, minimizing costs associated with replacement or repairs. Additionally, UV stabilization protects against the negative effects of sunlight, allowing it to be used in both internal and external installations.

Installation and application

The reducer is designed for connecting pipes of different diameters in Geberit HDPE pressurized drainage systems. Installation is carried out by butt welding or using electrofusion sleeves – these methods ensure a tight and durable connection. It finds application in:

• draining water from buildings,
• roof drainage installations (gravity and vacuum systems),
• terrain drainage,
• industrial applications,
• laying in concrete.

Thanks to its versatility, the reducer works well in both residential and industrial construction. Its compact dimensions (length 80 mm, working connection length 2: 37 mm) make it easy to install even in tight spaces. The eccentric model ensures optimal medium flow and minimizes the risk of sediment accumulation. The wall thickness of the connections (3 mm) provides adequate mechanical strength.
