This black, shielded flexible cable JZ-500-C is an ideal solution for mechanically medium-loaded installations where flexibility and protection against interference are required. Made of high-quality materials, this cable provides reliable connections in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. The construction with a shielding braid minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in control and measurement systems.

Construction and properties ensuring durability

The JZ-500-C cable stands out with its careful construction, which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. It is made of multi-wire copper core (class 5), which provides high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. PVC Z 7225 insulation provides excellent dielectric properties and abrasion resistance. The cores are black with white numerical printing, which facilitates identification during installation. Additionally, the cable has a screen made of copper wires with approximately 85% coverage, which effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference. This braid should be connected to clamps (e.g., cable glands) for optimal EMC protection. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of PVC TM2, resistant to oils, chemicals and UV radiation.

Application and compliance with standards

The JZ-500-C cable is perfect for use in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors, provided there is no direct contact with the ground or water. It is particularly recommended in mechanical engineering for control, signaling and measurement in production lines and conveyor belts. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad). This allows it to be used in demanding environmental conditions. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -10°C to +80°C (flexible). The rated voltage U is 500V and the core cross-section is 1.5 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.9 mm.
