Flexible shielded cable for industrial and control applications

This 7-core flexible cable JZ-500-C black, with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², is a robust solution for connections requiring flexibility and protection against electromagnetic interference. Made from high-quality materials, it ensures reliable operation in various conditions. The cable is particularly recommended for use in mechanical engineering, control and signaling systems, as well as in environments exposed to oils and chemicals.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a careful construction that guarantees its durability and functionality. Copper strands, twisted in accordance with DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards, provide good conductivity and flexibility. PVC Z 7225 insulation protects the strands from mechanical damage and external factors. The strands are black with white numerical printing, which facilitates identification during installation. Additionally, the cable has a screen of copper wires providing protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The shielding braid should be properly connected to the terminals (e.g., cable gland) for optimal effectiveness. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating of PVC TM2, resistant to abrasion and UV radiation.

Application and operating parameters

The JZ-500-C black cable is perfect for medium mechanically loaded installations where flexible connections without tensile stress are required. It can be used both in dry and humid indoor environments as well as outdoors – however, it should not be laid directly in the ground or in water. Thanks to its resistance to oils and chemicals, it is ideal for industrial environments. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C during installation. The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the test voltage core/core is 4000 V, and core/screen 2000V. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter for flexible applications and 5x diameter for fixed installations. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
