Highly durable cable for EX zones – reliability and safety in harsh conditions

This blue, flexible OZ-BL-CY 2x1 cable with a cross-section of 1 mm² is designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres where high reliability and resistance to interference are required. Made from high-quality materials, this cable provides safe and efficient power transmission in intrinsically safe installations.

Construction and user properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction that guarantees long-term and trouble-free operation. Multi-strand flexible copper conductors, class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295 / IEC 60228), provide good flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Conductor insulation made of PVC type Z 7225 provides effective protection against short circuits and damage. Additionally, a screen made of tinned copper wire braid (coverage approx. 85%) minimizes the influence of electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in precise control and measurement systems. The outer sheath made of PVC (type TM2) in blue (RAL 5015) provides resistance to weathering and UV radiation.

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 regarding intrinsically safe installations and DIN VDE 0165-1 / DIN EN 60079-14 / IEC 60079-14 Section 16.2.2 for potentially explosive areas. It has a VDE-Reg.-No. 7032 certificate and a CE mark, confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.

This cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the required length during installation. Not suitable for laying in the ground. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances preventing paint adhesion during painting, which is important for many industrial applications.
