Flexible cable OZ-500 HMH 2x4 is a halogen-free control cable, designed for applications requiring high fire resistance and external factor resistance. This cable is widely used in mechanical industry, conveyors, technological lines, in installation construction, as well as in metallurgy and steelworks. It is characterized by flexibility and durability, making it an ideal solution for both permanent and occasionally movable installations.
Construction and properties
The OZ-500 HMH 2x4 cable is constructed of stranded copper conductors, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5 / IEC 60228 cl. 5. The conductors are insulated with halogen-free TI6 polymer (DIN VDE 0207-363-7 / DIN EN 50363-7), and their color is black with white digits for easy identification. The cable has an outer jacket made of halogen-free TM7 polymer (DIN VDE 0207-363-8 / DIN EN 50363-8) in gray (RAL 7001). The cable construction provides optimal flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage.
It is worth noting a number of tests confirming its safety properties:
- Fire resistance: The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1-2 regarding self-extinguishing and flame retardancy.
- Low toxicity: The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. In addition, the cable is halogen-free (DIN VDE 0482-754-1 / DIN EN 60754-1 / IEC 60754-1), which minimizes the emission of toxic gases during a fire.
- Chemical resistance: It shows resistance to oils.
Operating and installation parameters
The OZ-500 HMH 2x4 cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +70°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 500V, and the test voltage is 2000V. The minimum bending radius for movable installations is 12.5 x the outer diameter of the cable, and for stationary installations – 4 x the outer diameter of the cable. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.2 mm with a conductor cross-section of 4 mm².
This cable can be used in dry, humid and wet rooms, also surface-mounted. However, it is not intended for applications with frequent movements or mechanical loads causing tension.
