Flexible cable OZ-500 HMH – safety and reliability in every installation

This halogen-free 500V control cable is an ideal solution for applications where high fire resistance and the absence of harmful substance emissions are required. The cable is designed for a wide range of applications – from mechanical industry, through building installations, to metallurgy and steelworks. Its flexible construction facilitates installation and ensures a reliable connection in difficult conditions.

Construction and properties

The OZ-500 HMH cable is distinguished by careful workmanship and the use of high-quality materials. Multi-wire copper conductors (class 5) provide good flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Insulation made of halogen-free TI6 mixture guarantees safety in case of fire – it limits the release of toxic gases and smoke. The conductors are black with white number printing for easy identification, and in the 3-core version, there is a yellow-green protective conductor. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer coating in gray color (RAL 7001).

The cable meets strict safety standards, confirmed by tests regarding fire resistance, self-extinguishing properties, corrosiveness of fire gases and halogen-free properties. In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and user parameters

The OZ-500 HMH cable is perfect as a measuring, control and steering cable in fixed and occasionally movable installations. It can be used both in dry and humid rooms, also surface-mounted. It should be remembered that it is not intended for operation subjected to continuous movements or mechanical stresses.

The values of the cable's user parameters allow for its effective use in many applications: the rated voltage is 500 V, the conductor cross-section is 0.75 mm², and the number of conductors is 4. The cable maintains flexibility in the temperature range from -15°C to +70°C, and after installation it can operate at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. Its outer diameter is approximately 6.3 mm. The minimum bending radius during laying is 12.5 x cable diameter, and during permanent installation – 4 x cable diameter. Additionally, the cable is characterized by radiation resistance up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).
