Construction and properties

The cable is made of multi-strand copper conductor, tinned for increased corrosion resistance. The EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) insulation provides excellent electrical and dielectric properties, and the outer neoprene (polychloroprene) coating guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils, and weathering. The cable construction meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250-602.

The cable is particularly resistant to short circuits, which is crucial in installations exposed to such failures – especially in rail vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and low-voltage (LV) switchgear. Additionally, the cable is flame-retardant and oil-resistant, increasing safety in various industrial environments.

Applications and parameters

The NSGAFÖU 1x25 mm² cable with a black coating is intended for dry rooms and equipment. Its operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -25°C to +80°C in flexible mode. The maximum permissible operating temperature is +90°C. The cable has a rated voltage of U0/U 1800/3000 V and is tested with 6000 V. The minimum bending radius is 6x the cable diameter in stationary operation and 10x the diameter in flexible operation.
