This blue, shielded flexible cable OZ-BL-CY 18x0.75 is designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, offering high flexibility and reliability. The cable is widely used in control and measurement installations where maintaining safety and minimizing spark risk are crucial. The cable construction provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is important in precise control systems.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. It is made of 18 stranded copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², insulated with PVC type Z 7225. The conductors are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch, which increases the cable's flexibility. Additionally, the cable has a screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires, providing effective protection against interference. The outer sheath made of PVC (type TM2) provides resistance to external factors such as UV radiation and weather conditions. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.9 mm.

Applications and compliance with standards

The OZ-BL-CY 18x0.75 cable is intended for installation in areas at risk of explosion in accordance with DIN VDE 0165-1 / DIN EN 60079-14 / IEC 60079-14 (Section 16.2.2). It is ideal as a flexible control and measuring cable in control and measurement technology, especially in intrinsically safe installations. Thanks to its EMC properties (electromagnetic compatibility), this cable minimizes the risk of interference with the operation of devices. It meets the requirements of the Eca standard regarding reaction to fire (EN 13501-6). The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -10°C to +80°C during installation. The rated voltage U/U0 is 500/300 V.
