Flexible cable 500V OZ-BL-CY 7x1 blue for EX zones shielded 14045
Highly durable cable for EX zones
This blue, flexible OZ-BL-CY 7x1 cable is designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, where high reliability and safety are required. This cable is characterized by braided shielding, which minimizes electromagnetic interference and ensures stable signal transmission. It is ideal for both control and measuring installations in harsh industrial conditions.
### Construction and application
This cable consists of seven flexible, stranded copper conductors of class 5, insulated with PVC type Z 7225. The conductors are twisted in layers, ensuring optimal pitch and flexibility. Additionally, the cable has a shield made of tinned copper wire braid, which protects against interference. The outer jacket made of PVC (type TM2) provides resistance to weathering and UV radiation.
The cable is intended for intrinsically safe installations according to DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 in areas at risk of explosion (according to DIN VDE 0165-1 / DIN EN 60079-14 / IEC 60079-14). It is perfect as a flexible control and measuring cable in control and measurement technology, especially in ungrounded installations with a separate electrical circuit. *Please note that the cable is not intended for burial.*
### Key features and benefits
* Safety in EX zones: Designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, meets the standards DIN VDE 0165-1 / DIN EN 60079-14 / IEC 60079-14.
* Flexibility: The stranded construction of class 5 conductors provides high cable flexibility, making installation and routing in tight spaces easier.
* Shielding: The copper wire braid minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission. *For optimal EMC, it is recommended to have a two-sided contact of the braid with the clamps.*
* Resistance to external conditions: The PVC coating protects against UV radiation, weathering and the influence of oils (with reservations - see technical documentation).
* Wide temperature range: The ability to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (flexibly from -10°C) guarantees reliable operation in various environmental conditions.
* Conductor identification: Numbers on the conductor insulation make it easier to identify individual wires during installation.
* Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of the CPR Eca standard regarding reaction to fire.
This cable is metered and available in blue (RAL 5015), which makes it easier to identify in electrical installations. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances preventing paint adhesion.
