Robust rubber cable for outdoor and industrial applications

This yellow NSSHÖU 1x150 mm² rubber cable is a solid solution for powering high-power devices in demanding conditions. The cable is designed for both fixed and mobile installations and is suitable for both construction and mechanical engineering, especially where equipment operates outdoors. Its construction guarantees high mechanical strength and moisture resistance, making it an ideal choice for harsh weather conditions.

The NSSHÖU cable is characterized by exceptional flexibility thanks to the EPR rubber insulation, which provides protection against ozone and cracking. This translates to a longer service life and reliability in operation. Although it is not recommended as a drum cable or for use in robotics, its durability and resistance to external factors make it indispensable in many other applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of stranded copper wire (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228) surrounded by EPR rubber insulation (3GI3). The protective conductor (available in versions with or without a protective conductor) is marked with a yellow-green color (above 3 cores). The whole is protected by an outer 5GM5 rubber coating, providing resistance to abrasion, cuts and the action of oils, greases and chemicals.

Usage parameters

The NSSHÖU cable is designed to operate at 0.6/1kV (maximum working voltage for alternating current Uo/U 0.7/1.2 kV and for direct current Uo/U 0.9/1.8 kV). The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for stationary operation, 10x for flexible operation and 15x for free operation. Long-term load is total cross-section x 15 N/mm².
