Rubber cable NSSHÖU 4G2.5 mm² yellow, core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 38017
Heavy-duty rubber cable for outdoor and industrial applications.
The yellow NSSHÖU 4G2.5 mm² rubber cable is a reliable solution for powering high-power devices in demanding conditions. Designed for both fixed and mobile installations, it is perfect for construction, mechanical engineering, and anywhere devices operate outdoors. Its construction provides high mechanical and moisture resistance, making it an ideal choice for outdoor applications.
Construction and properties
The NSSHÖU cable stands out with its solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and safe operation. Copper conductors, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl. 5, guarantee good electrical conductivity. Insulation made of EPR rubber (3GI3) provides flexibility and ozone resistance – a key feature preventing insulation cracking in harsh atmospheric conditions. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (above 3 conductors) for increased safety.
The inner (GM1b) and outer (5GM5) jackets made of rubber provide additional protection against mechanical damage, oils, greases and chemicals. Conductor identification is done according to DIN VDE 0294-308 – color-coded up to 5 conductors and black with white numbering from 6 conductors upwards. The cable has passed fire resistance tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
Applications and benefits
This cable is particularly recommended for:
- Powering high-power devices in construction and mechanical engineering.
- Outdoor installations exposed to moisture and changing weather conditions.
- Applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance.
- Connecting devices operating outdoors.
It is important to remember that the cable is not intended for use as a drum cable or in robotics and hand-held devices. Its flexibility allows for easy installation and routing of cables even in hard-to-reach places – the operating temperature range is flexibly from -25°C to +80°C and stationary from -40°C to +80°C. The permissible operating temperature on the conductor is +90°C, which increases its reliability under high current loads.
