Rubber cable NSSHÖU 3G2.5 mm² yellow, core identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 38013
Robust rubber cable for demanding applications
This yellow NSSHÖU 3G2.5 mm² rubber cable is a solid solution for powering devices in harsh conditions. The cable is designed for high loads and mechanical resistance, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users who need reliable power. It meets DIN VDE 0250 part 812, guaranteeing safety and compliance with applicable standards.
Construction and properties
The NSSHÖU cable stands out with its construction ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper conductors, made of stranded wires (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), are surrounded by EPR rubber insulation (3GI3), which provides flexibility and ozone resistance – crucial for protecting against cracking and extending the cable's life. A protective conductor (yellow-green) provides additional safety. The whole is surrounded by an inner (GM1b) and outer (5GM5) rubber jacket, which increases resistance to abrasion, cuts and the action of oils, greases and chemicals. Conductor identification is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0294-308 – color-coded for cables up to 5 conductors and black with white numbering for a larger number of conductors.
Applications and benefits
The NSSHÖU cable is perfect for fixed and mobile installations where high mechanical and chemical resistance is required. It is an ideal choice for:
- Construction: Powering construction equipment operating outdoors.
- Mechanical industry: Connecting machines and equipment exposed to harsh operating conditions.
- Outdoor installations: Thanks to its moisture resistance, the cable works well in installations exposed to water.
- Applications requiring flexibility: The rubber insulation provides good cable flexibility, making it easier to lay and connect.
Additional advantages:
- Wide temperature range: Operation at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -25°C to +80°C (flexible).
- High insulation resistance: Min. 20 MOhm x km provides effective protection against short circuits.
- Resistance to external factors: Oils, greases, chemicals are not a problem for this cable.
- Compliance with safety standards: Tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B).
- Rated voltage: Uo/U 0.6/1 kV – universal use in many electrical installations.
