Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions

This HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y single-core wire is a specialized solution designed for operation in demanding environments. It is characterized by high temperature resistance and resistance to aggressive chemicals, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for reliable cabling. This wire is used in installations and construction of control panels, furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, kitchen and measuring equipment. It will also be useful in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils and gasoline.

### Construction and properties

The wire is made of tinned copper, which ensures good conductivity and corrosion resistance. Insulation made of FEP fluoropolymer (HELUFLON®) guarantees exceptional thermal resistance – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). Flexible stranded wire class 5 makes installation easier and provides flexibility. The wire cross-section of 0.25 mm² and the rated voltage of 600 V allow for a wide range of applications. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 1.3 mm.

### Applications and compliance with standards

The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for stationary installation and 10x cable diameter for flexible installation. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km and the dielectric strength is min. 20 kV. The wire is ideal for anywhere that requires high temperature resistance and aggressive chemical factors – from industry to laboratories and household appliances.
