Single-core FEP wire, resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 1x0.25 mm² red, conductor: tinned copper 25522
High-temperature single-core wire – reliability in extreme conditions
This red HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y single-core wire, with a cross-section of 0.25 mm², is a specialized solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and aggressive environments. Made of tinned copper and insulated with FEP fluoropolymer, it ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions and special installations.
Construction and properties
The wire is characterized by a flexible construction with a multi-strand tinned copper core (class 5), which facilitates installation and provides good flexibility. The FEP fluoropolymer insulation guarantees exceptional chemical, thermal and electrical resistance. This makes the wire ideal for use in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, as well as in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, alkalis, acids, oils and gasoline. The rated voltage of 600V allows for safe use in various installations.
Applications and benefits
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y wire is widely used in:
- Heating installations: furnaces, heating devices, underfloor heating systems.
- Chemical industry: wires resistant to aggressive chemicals.
- Distribution boards: especially in places exposed to high temperatures.
- Kitchen and measuring devices: ensuring safety and reliability in difficult conditions.
- Applications requiring radiation resistance: thanks to its high resistance to radiation up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (1 Mrad).
Additional advantages:
- Wide operating temperature range: from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C).
- High chemical resistance: no influence of chemicals on the properties of the insulation.
- Low dielectric losses: minimizing energy losses.
- Resistance to microorganisms and fungal growth: ensuring hygiene and durability.
- Complete water resistance: protection against moisture and corrosion.
- Self-extinguishing material: increased fire safety (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2).
- Minimal water permeability: approx. 0.18 mg/cm² in 24 hours, ensuring long-term reliability of the installation even in humid environments.
The wire cross-section of 0.25 mm² and approximate outer diameter of 1.3 mm allow for easy installation and adaptation to various applications. The tinned copper core provides good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.
