Single-core rubber cable, short-circuit resistant up to 1 kV NSGAFÖU 1x150 mm² orange 17000922

Rubber cable resistant to short circuits – reliability in demanding conditions

This single-core NSGAFÖU rubber cable, designed to operate at voltages up to 1 kV, is characterized by high short-circuit resistance and is an ideal solution in installations exposed to this type of hazard. This cable is used in rail vehicles, buses, trolleybuses and low voltage (LV) switchgear, where safety and uninterrupted power supply are crucial. Manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0250-602, it ensures solid and safe operation in difficult conditions.

Construction and properties

The NSGAFÖU cable is characterized by a careful construction that guarantees its durability and reliability. The tinned copper wire, stranded class 5, provides good flexibility and conductivity. Insulation made of EPR (type 3G13 according to DIN VDE 0207) and a polychloroprene (CR) coating type 5GM3 (DIN VDE 0207) provide effective protection against external factors. In addition, the cable is oil-resistant (according to DIN VDE 0473-811-404/DIN EN 60811-404) and flame-retardant (according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2). The orange color of the coating makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation.

Applications and operating parameters

The NSGAFÖU cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -25°C to +80°C in flexible mode. The maximum permissible operating temperature of the cable is +90°C. The operating voltage is U0/U 1800/3000 V, and the test voltage is 6000 V. The minimum bending radius is 6x cable diameter for stationary installations and 10x diameter for flexible installations. The cable cross-section is 150 mm², which makes it suitable for transmitting large currents. The weight of one meter of cable is approximately 1.8 kg, and the outer diameter is about 28 mm. This cable is particularly recommended where high short-circuit resistance is required – its correct application ensures protection against them.
