Single-core rubber cable, short-circuit resistant – reliability in demanding conditions

This specialized single-core cable with rubber insulation and jacket, compliant with DIN VDE 0250-602, is designed for applications requiring high resistance to mechanical damage and short circuits. Particularly recommended for installations in rail vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and low-voltage (LV) switchgear. Its construction and materials guarantee reliable operation even in harsh operating conditions.

Construction and properties

The NSGAFÖU cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-term and safe operation. The tinned copper stranded wire, class 5 (DIN VDE 0295) provides good flexibility and conductivity. The EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) type 3G13 insulation guarantees high electrical resistance, and the polychloroprene (CR) type 5GM3 jacket protects against external factors such as oil, UV radiation (in black color), and mechanical damage. The cable is also flame-retardant (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2) and oil-resistant (DIN VDE 0473-811-404/DIN EN 60811-404).
