Single-core silicone cable resistant to high temperatures SiD 1x0.75 mm² red 46402
High-temperature silicone cable – reliability in extreme conditions
This single-core silicone cable, with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures and harsh environmental conditions, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users who need reliable power in specific applications. The cable is red, which facilitates identification in installations.
Construction and application
The HELUTHERM SiD cable is designed to operate in extreme temperatures – from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C). Made of tinned copper wire insulated with silicone, it provides excellent flexibility and long-lasting performance. Its construction based on a single class 1 strand (single-wire) makes it easy to install and route. This cable finds wide application in industries such as:
- Foundries
- Aviation
- Cement plants
- Glass and ceramics factories
- Power plants (halogen-free version)
Additionally, the cable exhibits resistance to a number of chemical substances, including oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, and diluted acids and alkalis. This makes it a versatile cable for industrial and specialized applications.
Safety and compliance with standards
The halogen-free construction of the HELUTHERM SiD cable minimizes the risk of generating toxic gases during a fire, increasing safety. The cable meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 regarding fire resistance and DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-2 regarding the corrosivity of fire gases. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The minimum bending radius of the cable is 15 times its outer diameter (2.3 mm), which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. The cable is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
